SSC CHSL Exam 2016 : Notification Released

Dear Aspirants , 

 After waiting for a long time, Staff Selection Commission(SSC) has released the exam notification for SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016 on 8 October 2016. Previously the notification was scheduled to be out on 2nd July. But due to some administrative or technical reasons it got delayed and has been released now.

Staff Selection  Commission conducts CHSL Exam every year for the recruitment of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO) & Court Clerk. About 30 lakh candidates appear for SSC CHSL Exam every year. SSC CHSL is one of the most competitive exams for govt jobs in india. The reason is that the basic qualification to apply for this exam is only 10+2 , so more and more candidate apply for this exam which makes it the most sought after exam for Central government jobs.

 As per SSC CHSL notification , SSC will conduct CHSL exam 2016 for recruitment to 5134 post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator (DEO) , Lower divisional Cleark (LDC) & Court clerk. Intrested candidates can apply only through online mode on http://ssconline.nic.in   from 8th October to 7th November 2016.

SSC CHSLE 2016 : Eligibility Criteria 

 

Age Limit:   

Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years as on 1st January 2017. (Candidates born not before 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-1999 can apply). Permissible relaxation of upper age limit for different categories are as per government rules.

 Educational Qualification (As on 01-01-2017) : 

 Candidate should have passed 12th standard or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. Those candidate who have not acquired but will acquire the essential educational qualification and acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University in support thereof as on 01-01-2017 will also be eligible.

Candidate who meet the desired eligibility criteria may apply online through http://ssconline.nic.in from 08-10-2016 to 07-11-2016.

Application fee :

Canddidates have to pay Rs. 100 by making payment through Net banking, Credit/Debit Cards or by Cash through SBI Bank Challan. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled tribe, Person with disability and Ex-Serviceman eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fees.

SSC CHSLE 2016 : Selection Process :

 As per SSC CHSLE 2016 Notification there will be 3 Tier Selection process for SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016. The examination will consist of a Computer based Written examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination for the post of Data Entry Operator(DEO), Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant(PA/SA), Lower Divisional Clerk(LDC) and Court Clerk.

•  Tier I :  An Objective  MCQ based online written examination with 100 Questions (200 Marks) containing 4 Sections. Time alloted will be 75 minutes. There will be negative marking for wrong answer.

• Tier II : This will be a descriptive paper of 100 marks in Pen and Paper mode. Exam will be of one hour duration.       

•  Tier III : This will be Skill Test/Typing Test which would be of qualifying in nature.

Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of total score of Tier-I and Tier-II.

 Important dates of SSC CHSLE 2016 :

Start of Online Application : 8 October 2016

Close of Online Application : 7 November 2016 (Last date extended to 11 November 2016 upto 5 pm)
 
Date of Computer based Examination (Tier-I) : 7 January 2017, 5 February 2017

Date  of Tier-II (Descriptive Paper) : 9 April 2017.
